What a great experience, and that's tough to say about going to the dentist 🤣🤣🤣. I had a dead tooth that need to be extracted. Was recommended to them by a friend. Talking to Vanessa at the front desk made the whole process easy, she explained everything to me in simple terms that I could understand. As far as the procedure it went better then I expected. Dr. Hlavaty made everything easy and procedure went quick and painless, go figure especially going to the dentist 🤣🤣. Definitely a great team and great environment, would recommend to everyone.

I suddenly had intense mouth pain near a tooth but I didn’t want to return to previous dentist and I have no dental insurance. Hlavaty (“rhymes with cavity”) Dental Arts got me an appointment next day. It was a bad infection and tooth had to come out- Vanessa- clearly explained seriousness of the infection. The dentist (Shawn) was very personable and quick and professional. The problem I had was the cost. To pull that tooth and get a bone graft was $1,500 which seemed reasonable, however he said I should get a replacement tooth which would be $10,000. So just think- we have 26 teeth…seems rather expensive to me. Also for 2 teeth cavities (one which needs a crown replacement according to them) I would have had to pay $235 for 2 years. Well I don’t make a large income so I ended up going to the American Indian dental instead as they go by income. More affordable for me.

He encouraged me to ask him any questions or concerns along the way and we would be partners throughout the entire process. He is careful in his planning of stages of treatment and ensures the best possible outcome with as few appointments as possible. He is diligent in following up after every visit! I saw Dr. Hlavaty for the first time for a cleaning 6 months ago after my regular dentist closed their doors. I was immediately impressed with the how clean and comfortable the office was. Everything seemed new and state of the art. Their staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and overall I had a very pleasant experience. Just this week I decided to go back in to see Dr. Hlavaty for a more in-depth procedure. A previous dentist had given me a filling in a back tooth that left a gap. For the past 5 or 6 years I have been needing to floss after every meal as to not allow food to get stuck which just kind of became my routine but all of that flossing caused damage to another tooth as well requiring a second filling. Because I have never been a huge fan of getting dental work done, I pushed it off for way too long. Dr. Hlavaty had me in and out feeling like the gap was never there. The doc and his assistant consistently checked in to make sure I was comfortable and fixed both teeth before I knew it. The process was quick and painless. I feel like in the future I will be far less hesitant to get dental work done because I know I now have a great dentist to rely on.

If you are looking for a dentist in SB, you need look no further. Dr. Hlavaty has been my dentist for years...and I'm a dentist myself! The dentist of dentists is the one you want. The office is amazing and the staff, top notch. 5 stars!
